have you heard about miracle mornings? we tried it for the first time during the pandemic and we’ve been doing it on and off, but we thought about sharing it here and maybe inspire you for a fresh start of September, which feels like a start of a new year. new goals, new plans, new things coming into our lives.
how you start your days may influence on how you end up feeling and living your life, that’s why we’ve been trying to take care of our mornings and make the best out of them on the last months.
miracle mornings consist in dedicating (approximately) an hour to the following things:
miracle mornings
gratitude list - write down the things you’re grateful for
affirmations - write down a list of positive affirmations that help you feel better about yourself
manifestation/visualization - write down some of the things you’d like to accomplish, how you see yourself in some years…
reading - if you can, read some pages of your book
meditation - try to do a meditation, even if it’s a five-minute one
tasks for the day - write down a list of 3-5 important things that need to be done that day to help you be focused.
if possible, we also like to start the day with a bit of exercise before we head to work. Getting up earlier for this has been extremely easy during the summer months since it was the only way to avoid the heat (only to some extent). Considering the positive impact it has had on our days, we are going to try to continue prioritizing this even if it will get trickier to get out of bed these upcoming months.
in addition to all this, here are the five non-negotiables to start the day on the right track according to Mel Robbins:
don’t snooze.
5 mins of (sun) light
10 min walk in silence
drink a glass of water before you drink your coffee
have some kind of mindful activity
we truly believe that starting the day like this can change how you live your life and how you feel, and we want to commit to it.
we hope it inspires you to start the new year. Feel free to share your favorite daily morning routines with us <3
with love,
L. & G.
just in time for the new month, will try some of this tomorrow xx
